Inkjet Overprinting
Inkjet overprinting is used to print flat surfaces in full-color with a special high-speed inkjet printer.
How does it work?
Inkjet printing using an inkjet printer causes ink to be sprayed in small droplets directly onto the substrate to be printed through tiny holes called nozzles. Because each dot of ink is so small, a greater variety of colors can be used. The technique of overprinting is used to prevent some elements of the printed material from creating a thin white mark around them. Therefore, without white ink, the print colors can be altered by the base color of the product.
Some examples of application on promotional items
Inkjet overprinting is applicable to porous materials, such as paper, cardboard, natural bamboo and wood.
